Robinson Park is a nice little park on the outskirts of Moscow, ID. It is probably easiest to get to by following ID Hwy 8 east towards Troy and then turning north onto Mill Road. After a few miles, you will connect with Robinson Park Rd, which will take you east to the park. The road is decent and paved the whole way, though it is a bit narrow and twisty (read as very fun to drive when no one is in front of you ). Most of the roads within the park are paved, tho the parking areas are gravel. There are no handicap spaces that I saw, but I am not sure that it would matter that much.

The first thing that becomes apparent as one wanders through the park is the emphasis on group activities/gatherings. There are many picnic tables, covered and uncovered, throughout the park. Picnic areas all seem to have either a grill or a fire pit available. There are two baseball fields, two volleyball courts (one has sand, the other grass), as well as two playground areas with basic equipment. The south day use area has a large grassy area to enjoy as well as an amphitheater and access to the nature trail.
There are a few different ways to spend extra time at the park. If you are looking for a tent camping experience, the park has some space for tents. Registration is available at the Latah County Parks and Rec Department building. I thought I would be able to find pricing on the official website, but that proves to be untrue. A different source lists tent pricing at $10 a night, $5 for seniors and free for disabled veterans. I do not think that the tent camping area offers much in the way of privacy either, if that matters to you as a camper. Each tent area offers a picnic table, fire pit, and seating around the fire. A vault toilet is a short walk away.
There are also 5 sites available for campers/RV’s. These apparently go for $15 a night, $10 for seniors and $5 for disabled veterans. The RV sites offer electricity, but I did not see sewer or water hookups in the site I walked through. There is a vault toilet as well as a water pump in the central area of the RV parking space. There are garbage containers throughout the park so you do not need to worry about packing out your trash.

The nature trail is a short, .6 mile loop accessible near the Parks and Rec building as well as from the south day use area. There is a stair case to access the trail from the south day use area that goes up 40ish steps, I think. The trail goes up and around the hill behind the south day use area. It is a nice dirt trail with very little rocks. There is some high grass in areas, but nothing too awful. There is some up and down to the trail, but it is a pretty easy trail. Kids over five would probably be fine, but smaller children might not enjoy it. The trail is not handicap friendly.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Robinson Park, but it was not wholly relaxing. The road by the park gets a fair amount of traffic and the cars were quite audible. There was also a fair amount of airplane noise. This was probably the busiest park that I have visited this year as well, with about a half dozen people there in the 45 minutes that I spent wandering the park. I am willing to bet that it gets more use when it is warmer out as well. I think it is probably a great place to plan for things like a family get together or other event that will have many participants.
