Yaak Falls is about 7 miles northeast of US Hwy 2 on Yaak Hwy 508. The road is getting to be a little rough, but it is paved the entire way. There is a decent sized parking area for viewing the falls from. People have created a few trails that lead down to the river, offering different perspectives of the falls. There is also a campground about a 1/4 mile downstream of the falls, which offers a couple trails, one of which leads to the falls.

The Yaak Falls Campground has seven campsites available on a first come, first serve basis. Each site has a nice little tent pad, a fire pit, and a picnic table, as well as a bear proof lock box for foodstuffs and other bear attractants. There are two centrally located vault toilets. There are no garbage containers, so you have to pack out whatever you bring in.
If you are in the area, I think the falls are totally worth a quick stop. The campground is very nice and well maintained, and there are many more campgrounds heading up river if this one happens to be full. There is a lot to see in the Yaak area, but be aware that you are in bear country and need to take the proper precautions when recreating in this region of Montana.
